I'm guite fine and not upset at all. Just saying, all of our midfielders and wingers are better than him and he was never going to play more than he has so far, hence he made the wrong choice coming from one big club to another big club, don't think it's that hard to see what I'm saying here really. Hopefully it's a fair comment now. 😉

Well, it's an opinion. I prefer to base mine on what is happening on the pitch rather than pre-conceived notions on how good players are. Gervinho, Walcott and Arshavin had been off-form for long periods of the season and we were struggling in a lot of games. If a player has been playing well in the limited opportunities handed to him and the current/usual options aren't playing well, I think mixing things up a bit more is the right thing to do. Football isn't played on paper.

And yeah, it was the "useless" word. Almost as if I ever said Benayoun was a bad player, don't think I've ever used that word when it comes to our players so found it weird.

Reserves played at Newcastle tonight. Thomas Eisfeld played up front as a lone striker and scored the only goal of the game.

Wasn't aware he could play that sort of role, but it sounds like he played well and got 80 minutes under his belt after a long time out. I hesitate to mention this, but I've read in a few different places now that Eisfeld was apparently more highly rated than Gotze at 16/17, before he tore his cruciate and was out for a year. Might turn out to be a better player than we think, who knows?

Heard Ozyakup played very well too, was involved in the build up to the goal, a super ball from him for Rees to centre for Eisfeld to finish.

Still cant get over the fact that Pep and Ricky are staking their reputations on the fact that Eisfield will be better than Gotze, probably within the next 6 months the way they're talking. The future is certainly rosey.

My mate Richard goes to all the reserve games and he reckons Eisfeld is as good technically as Gotze but far more elastic physically. He warps around the pitch.

we're going to have to sell podolski before he even gets here, unless we want to kill eisfeld. look what happened to bischoff and merida because we kept fabregas around.

I think if he is good enough he will make it. Bischoff ( currently plays for some obscure Portuguese club) was shit and Merida was overrated by many of us. Merida cant even make the Atletico squad atm. He was loaned out to Braga last year.
