Chamakh's only good period for us came in the first few months he was here though. And Gervinho still got games ahead of a PL experienced player like Rosicky(and Benayoun).
The point still stands, a good player from the French league does not get the type of "adaptation period" Wenger has given Park. There's obviously more going on there, we just don't know for certain what.
We played Chamakh early and he went into some kind of decline after his first few months.
We played Gervinho early and he too seems to be suffering confidence wise.
You could argue that we were forced to play both immediately, given injuries to Robin and Bendtner when Chamakh arrived, and given Nasri's unplanned for departure in mid August just after Gervinho arrived.
And as I said, you could argue that throwing them in the deep end did not benefit either player.
Look at the amount of grief Kos used to get last season , he too was flung in before he had adapted. He freely admits that it was only this season that he feels settled and physically able.
One thing is obvious though: nobody here knows what's truly going on with Park.
It's a bumper Wenga mystery 🙂
