Never really that blown away by Bunjaku. Has a lot of technical ability, but never really seems to know how to use it. Not surprised he's moved on, too many good players in front of him, and I think there are a lot of others that will follow him shortly.

Highlights, if you can call them that, of the game against Derby last night. It's no surprise that we didn't get very far this year, it's a year too early for the best players at that level. The likes of Bellerin, Ormonde-Ottewill, Hayden, Toral, Olsson, Jebb, Gnabry and Akpom will be FAR better as 17 year olds in next year's competition.

Also a little piece on Arsenal.com on the talents of Serge Gnabry. He reckons he can give Theo a run for his money one day:

A career in football is what Serge Gnabry is working to, but the youngster could quite easily have followed a different path. “I used to be involved in Athletics when I was younger,” reports the 16 year-old. “I was a sprinter and raced throughout Germany. I never lost a race, but it came to a point where I had to make a choice between athletics and football, and my choice was football because that is where I had the most fun.

"I do use my pace when playing football, especially since joining Arsenal as I have tended to play on the left wing, and speed is a valuable asset in beating opponents and racing on to passes.” Theo Walcott is noted for being the fastest at the Club at the moment, but Serge could be in the running soon. “Theo is very, very fast and one day in the future we may have a race,” he smiles.

Watching the highlights, its unbelievable that we haven't scored. The result worried me a little bit when it was first reported, but the highlights have reassured me that we were the better team (and by far, if you ask me).

Although our youth center backs need improving, none of them are likely to make it here.

Surprised about Bunjaku - I have a feeling there's something we haven't heard about this story, and it's not purely football/talent/development related. Strange.
He is very talented, no doubt in my mind about that. Oh well. We'll do with Toral's third eye.

Reserves lost 0-2 to Sunderland.
Ryo, Park, Chamberlain and Miquel played.
Seems Park missed a couple of chances - headed over from a Miquel cross, blasted another over as well

Chamberlain moved to the centre in the second half and seems he was more influential once he did.
Apparently we enjoyed plenty of possession but lacked the cutting edge.

Because an isolated game - let alone for the reserve team where our most promising youngsters are generally sent out on loan - is obviously the best way to judge a player.

Pity Park didn't convert one of his chances, we could do with another forward having some semblance of form and confidence.
I wonder if he will he start the Leeds game, or even make the bench if Thierry and Chamakh are available.

Young Guns (or one of those blogs) says he was a complete panic buy when Arsenal realised Joel Campbell could not get a work permit. Hence the hijacking of the bid and Lillie chasing him all the way to the airport.

Of course he was a panic buy, that's obvious. However, I don't know whether Campbell had anything to do with it or not. But it doesn't really matter.

But he's turned out to be such an odd signing, he's 26 years old and scored a reasonable amount of goals in a decent league. And he's come here and only played 4 times! He's been written off as shit but he's not really been given a chance at all. Barely makes the bench for the league games and now he's suddenly got to turn up against Leeds, more than a month after he's been involved in the match day squad and 'prove' himself? Probably won't even get games during the ACN now that Henry is here, I mean, panic buy or not is he that poor in training that he won't even get 10 minutes at the end of a game to run around?

I don't know what sense you're talking about. But we definetely make panic buys. Park and Squillaci for example.

Those two examples aren't/weren't panic buys.
