Because Liverpool may have been put off by the penny pinching bullshit. They sure as hell won't sell to us now well as with £42m or £43m we would have been taken more seriously.

This transfer business is not a joke.

The board have to be willing to take risks with prices if they want us to get anywhere.

It wasn't to trigger a de facto release, and it's possible our camp thought it was to trigger a de jure release. So it was basically to trigger a release
