Arsene pick up players who are good deals rather than picking up good players or ones who improve our weakest positions. He is still baulking at price as am I but that is the market and insane as it is he has to decide whether he wants the player and if we can afford the fee, no morals as to the actual value should be put out there.
In relation to Suarez Wenger has said that the move requires the agreement of three parties.
We know Suarez wants to leave, we know we've bid, we know so far that Liverpool are refusing to sell, and that Rodgers is claiming that if Bale is worth 100m then so is Suarez.
Only a lunatic would pay that much for him so we've reached an impasse.
He's not going to be able to play for us in August anyway so why are people desperate for us to cave in and pay whatever it is Liverpool are asking?
No need to.
Got nothing to do with Suarez, he likely has a clause that we will become eligible for after CL qualis yet liverpool are playing hardball for the sake of face and to prevent us getting him FOR the quantifying games. Money being touted for Bale, Luiz, Falcao, Rodriguez, Cavania and Higuain is sickening yet it is part of a game where money has flood into a few club who have given that out to other clubs to put in epic bids what can you do to spot that?
Look at this summer. he didn't go for the best player most expensive player first he went for Higuain as he thought he could get the best value deal, then realised madrid couldn't be fucked with a low fee so he then decided to go for the better player who would cost more. Total balls up that we have seen happen many times over the last few year to the detriment of the club, fans and the prospects of winning anything.
In general though look at what he has paid for GKs, fuck all. They are terribly important and he lumbered his best post 2004 squad with fuck almunicunt for years which was part of the reason we have won nothing and lost a myriad of players. He is a big slow fat fish in a sea or sharks in the transfer market and I don't see that changing without his exit from the club.
