There's a lot of people running the line that Adams is an idiot.
He's not been successful as a coach but I don't think there's any evidence he's stupider than the average pundit, or plenty of other folk in football for that matter.
500+ starts, 4 league titles in three decades, he's a saint of our religion. I believe he deserves a lot more reverence than he's been shown here.
His status can be defended on the same basis that Wenger's is defended - he was a great winner for us who clearly always had the club at heart.
He claims he put his name forward and didn't get a response ... surely at least a pro forma rejection would've been courteous?
