Giroud, on his own, has cost us 15 points by my last count and we still have four 'easier' fixtures to play.

And Wenger on his own has cost us the last 32 trophies.

Yes, he did it all on his own.

Well thats not quite as ridiculous as saying that Giroud "cost us" 15 points.

You been watching the games this season, by any chance?

I've watched every one of them and I'll even watch the Man Utd one.

If we give them "a guard of honour" a symbolic gesture of how we handed them the title to go with the very real one we sold them for 24M, even you'd have to admit that some of the "outrageous semi-libellous" accusations I've flung at the club in recent years are actually coming true.

Van Persie 'asked for Juve blessing'
It’s reported that Robin Van Persie asked for permission from Juventus before signing for Manchester United.

The Dutchman had been extremely close to joining Juve in the summer of 2012 and agreed personal terms, but Arsenal would not lower their £25m price-tag.

Sky Sport Italia claim that when Manchester United made it clear they were prepared to pay that sum, Van Persie asked Juventus for their blessing to complete the transfer.

He did not want to seem as if he was snubbing the Bianconeri after already agreeing terms.

What's the significance of that bit of info?

That Persie is a skunk?

We should ask Juve to bless us by buying Benchner.

Juve has mob connections....apparently.

the significance is to blow smoke up juve's ass. they aren't as important as they would like to think, so the italian media needs to make them feel high and mighty.

Posted in the Kroenke/Gazidis/Wenger out thread, though? I don't get it.

didn't even remember what thread this was when i saw that bit of info. i thought it was the united game one.

Theres no mods about we can do what we like!

I can't actually see what you just posted Biggus. Is it horrendous?

Frugal, sensible - tomatoes, potatoes...

In all seriousness, I think it is fair to say that pretty much every Arsenal fan would like the club to be a little less concerned with the bottom line. The difference is how much. We have the Biggus school who are of the opinion that we need to spend petro cash, and then there are those who quite like the idea of self sustainability.

And even then there's no guarantee of success Rex, but one things for sure- the conservative Wenger/Kroenke method is a one way ticket to mediocrity because it's based on a static model of a flat earth not moving, but things change maybe the FA will lose their 4 CL spots or we'll miss out some other way......

Wenger is from the France - German border and can speak fluent German.

Do you reckon he sounds a little german?

Wouldn't mind if he bought a few little Germans; Reus, Lahm, Gundogan...

Not fussy. A Pole would do, just so i can read something like this in the summer.
"Arsenal's new striker, Robert Lewandowski, is delighted his former manager has agreed to join him at the Emirates."

Y va, get 'em out of here! that stuff should be in the Wish list.

I think Y'va is asleep.
This is the antipodean and Bandy shift.

How come you're awake Tone?

Working on a project with developers who fix something, mess up what worked previously and now i am in danger of missing a deadline. Not good

Best of luck then don't work too hard.

He is right though.

:hmm: What is wrong in what he said?

I think the lady is saying we need another left back.

Have no idea what you are on about. A few too many beers perhaps?

“I believe that this club is today in a very, very strong position and has gone through a very sensitive period in a very intelligent way. After that, everything is here to have a great future."

I don't really follow the accounts of the club, so what's different now? How and why are we out of the "sensitive period" now?

Or is this just Wenger winding up the fans as usual?

Well let me spell it out for you Rex, if everything at the club is so perfect and we're still floundering, all that remains is to mange it properly- So that must be the problem.
As Sherlock Holmes would say 'Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.'

It's interesting that he disassociates himself from the bad coaching over the last 6-7 years.
