In all seriousness, I think it is fair to say that pretty much every Arsenal fan would like the club to be a little less concerned with the bottom line. The difference is how much. We have the Biggus school who are of the opinion that we need to spend petro cash, and then there are those who quite like the idea of self sustainability.

And even then there's no guarantee of success Rex, but one things for sure- the conservative Wenger/Kroenke method is a one way ticket to mediocrity because it's based on a static model of a flat earth not moving, but things change maybe the FA will lose their 4 CL spots or we'll miss out some other way......

Don't trust him with the money. We've spent £10m+ on Gervinho's and Giroud's, but if you buy badly you will end up buying twice.

I don't really follow the accounts of the club, so what's different now? How and why are we out of the "sensitive period" now?

Or is this just Wenger winding up the fans as usual?

Well let me spell it out for you Rex, if everything at the club is so perfect and we're still floundering, all that remains is to mange it properly- So that must be the problem.
As Sherlock Holmes would say 'Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.'

It's interesting that he disassociates himself from the bad coaching over the last 6-7 years.
