We are handing players to Wolfsburg and Napoli. Hopefully, the Napoli gamble plays off, but the rest of this summer has been a waste of time.

Wenger is and has always been the problem. he's out looking for bargains that don't exist. There are only so many Cazorlas and Sagnas you can buy. In general, you need to spend da monay.

Personally think Gustavo isn't all that. He'll improve the squad, for sure, but not the first team. For now, it doesn't concern me much - if Arteta gets injured then maybe it'll kick in.

Luiz Gustavo would be a tremendous signing. He's not perfect but he'd make a brilliant alternative to Arteta and who else is out there and available anyway?

gustavo would not be our best player if he arrived, but he would certainly be one of our most important because of the unique skillset that he offers and we sorely lack. for that alone, we should be not mind if we must pay over 100k for his services.

He was earning 60k as a first teamer at Bayern. Ribery, for example, earns closer to 200k.

Ornstein says we didn't bid and he's about the only journo/itk worth trusting. I get the impression we weren't really interested and Wenger isn't all that bothered about signing a midfielder. We'll probably sign Flamini.
