I know everybody (including me) will be absolutely furious and I can expect outrage at home games, but the thought of us being absolutely jokes once again and just signing Sanogo in the entire transfer window is somehow damn funny to think of. EDIT: Lehmann was the only first team signing, we did pick up some kids like Clichy, Senderos, Djourou, and Fabregas though.

I doubt that die welt got the jump on bild for this exclusive. Could be that the story has come out of Wolfsburg rather than Bayern, but I doubt it; Bayern are very fast with their press releases.

The funny thing about Gustavo is that his 'price' was around 8-9m pounds last summer and having not played all that much for a season, that figure has doubled.

Edit: so apparently we bid £14m while it's being reported that he's being sold at a figure closer to £17m. When we have 100m+ in the bank, doesn't this reek of Wenger's same old penny pinching bullshit? Feels just like the Xabi Alonso saga a few years back when we were apparently skint.
