I would rather pay 50m for Suarez than 30m for Higuain all things considered.
£50m could have got Higuain and Gustavo though.

Really? I was under the impression that Swansea got of Danny Graham so that Michu could play up top. Didn't affect his goal scoring record either.
No he plays off the striker, has done at rayo and at swansea they only play him up top on his own when out of options its certainly not the first choice role for him.
We are going to get rinsed whatever happens on anyone from a team in England (or Wales).
If they ask for 25 mill following our bid of 10m we should just say "we'll michu half way"

He started up top for Swansea last season due to injuries but then he nailed down the spot as his own. He is quality up top.

It wasn't a problem with money about Gustavo. We didn't even bid for him. In fact, Gustavo said he waited and waited but ultimately had to accept Wolfsburg's offer.
Michu is terrible up top on his own? Have you even seen him play last year evoh? That is a ridiculous thing to say.

Yes mate he plays withdrawn, far better there get with it mate not everyone plays there number 10 half way between defense and midfield as we do.
He does both, and he's good at both.
I definitely recall him playing up front on his own during the Cc run and against us!
He has done both but is better off the striker. Laudrup seems to agree:
"Michu is an offensive midfielder who can play centre-forward but he will be a goalscorer wherever he plays.
"He is not only a goalscorer who is up there, waiting. When he plays in midfield he is working very hard and physically he has a presence and fills a lot of space as well.
"I see him more as an offensive midfielder. He can come in from that second line where he is so gifted."

He played the vast majority of last season up top on his own. This discussion is ridiculous and can't be debated. Its just a fact.

The last time we played a number 10 at point worked. Michu isn't a traditional striker but he can finish and we can definitely tailor our game to suit him. Besides, we already have Giroud and Sanogo (or maybe not) either way, a little variety could work. I don't think it's a ridiculous claim at any rate.
Don't think we'll get a chance to find out
Its not a fact at all. His best was done when not playing up top on his own, yes he played there but he wan't as good as when he played off the striker and the majority of his goals came from this position where he would often pop up later in the box.
We haven't actually bid for him have we?
I wonder if it's at all likely that we will.

When did Arsene ever change his ways to fit a player he just signed? Did it with Cesc and haven't gone back since and I can't see us doing it for a player bought in the last dash for player that we are on now.

He is definitely good at both, its not even debatable. In fact, he played more as a lone striker up top last year than an AM because of their lack of a striker. Hes great a hold up, great at spinning past defenders, superb at header and quick shots. What more do you want?

He's not really changing his ways though, is he? Wenger's always preferred the more rounded players to be forwards. If anything signing Giroud last summer and playing him as a target man shows Wenger being willing to change the way we played for the benefit of the new guy.
Jonas at Valencia is the same sort of player and will be much cheaper.
And there isn't much between them interms of quality; Michu slightly better on 1 v 1, but Jonas is the better dribbler.
We should just go all out and sign Rooney. Pay over the odds.
If we had to bid for him we would have already.
Wenger will fill the squad with mid to upper-mid tier players.
Plus he is going to learn a hard lesson in negotiating. Now that he is in a desperate situation (injuries, opening loss, angry fans), teams can demand anything
