We had an unusually good year with injuries. We need Podolski-quality players on the bench and quite often injuries will mean they could be starters for most games.
I would take Michu. A creative striker (a poor man's bergy) would be perfect and from what I'm reading, Jovetic seems to be a better fit.
A prolific goalscorer would be nice. But we already have our 30+ goal a season striker. Theo could be truly phenomenal up front. He lacks some basic skills but if we create a role for him to be the poacher, he will make it worth our while. I'm sure of it. That muppet will be worth every penny of the £100k contract. There's a reason Wenger caved in for that greedy shit.
Walcott will no doubt get u loads of goals, but it will be at the detriment of our overall game IMO, don't you think so? In the end, all we'll have is a 30+ goals a season striker but with the team performing worse.
It's a risk worth taking. It's worth finding out. He is greedy but if we play him up front then his main job is to score goals. He gets 30+ for the season, it's up there with the top among Europe and it's hard to overlook that. He some some fundamental problems with his role out wide. For a start, he'll never stay there. He can't take anyone on/can't dribble. His crossing is shit. On the other hand, his movement up front is good, he thinks like a striker (anticipates rebounds etc.), scares defenders with his pace and is a lethal finisher.
I think he deserves a shot but obviously would be happy if we bought a top forward to partner him (or at least at no.10).
