He'd be perfect for us.

Composed finisher, strong enough to play as a central striker in a front three, gets involved with build up play

Gives another option as an attacking mid

i'd be a bit underwhelmed if he was the big striker we signed tbh. yes he's a bit better than what we have, but that shouldn't really be the yardstick for the calibre of striker we should be targeting.

Dunno, not convinced he'll ever develop into an elite forward.

He reminds me of Jonas at valencia, good players but that's about it.

We need an elite forward

I'd take him. Excellent player. Then get Jovetic to play at 10 and I'd be well satisfied.

He'd be great. Our Mandzukic signig. I want a striker who's strong off the ball and Michu fits that description. He's got a decent holdup play and top workrate. His finish is infinitely better than Giroud's too. All his stats from the last few years show a steady improvement. Get him, replace Walcott with someone like Heung-min Son and you've got a proper attack going again.

His impressive displays at the start of last season prompted Arsenal into an extensive scouting mission on the 27-year-old.
And Arsenal, who are also set to sign Michuโ€™s team-mate Ashley Williams, have a concrete interest in the striker.
The club, who also retain a long-term interest in Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, are exploring numerous striking options ahead of next season as they look to land a new world-class centre-forward.

And they also mention that we're looking at Higuain, Jovetic and Rooney

Nah, Walcott is a someone we should defo keep. I'd like to see something like this for our attack next season;

----------Michu
Cazorla--Jovetic--Walcott

If we just bought those two I'd consider it our best summer in ages.

We could swap in Podolski for any one of Jovetic, Michu, or Cazorla. I like those options, but Walcott needs some competition on the right. I guess Chambo could provide that?

I didn't say sell. I said replace.

Not realistic. Don't think this will be quite possible because of Swansea's valuation.

Would absolutely love him here though. Better than Benteke for me too.

Pretty much this. He seems like someone who's on an upward curve for a couple of seasons now.

For me signing someone like Michu would mean we can't play Walcott and Podolski together, you need a creative player in the front 3.

Is it the best use of resources to have a 100k p/w player on the bench though?

We shouldn't have signed Podolski with Walcott already on our books IMO.

Yes we should have, because he's much better than Walcott.

Well should have sold Walcott then ๐Ÿ˜‰

We had an unusually good year with injuries. We need Podolski-quality players on the bench and quite often injuries will mean they could be starters for most games.

I would take Michu. A creative striker (a poor man's bergy) would be perfect and from what I'm reading, Jovetic seems to be a better fit.

A prolific goalscorer would be nice. But we already have our 30+ goal a season striker. Theo could be truly phenomenal up front. He lacks some basic skills but if we create a role for him to be the poacher, he will make it worth our while. I'm sure of it. That muppet will be worth every penny of the ยฃ100k contract. There's a reason Wenger caved in for that greedy shit.
