He's been in Spain for 3 years, should be getting Spanish citizenship soon.

Mucking around in the Segunda, he'll be gone in a year or two.
We've become something of a passport agency for 2nd tier south American talent - Wellington, Galindo, Pedro, Martinez, Denilson, Campbell...
Anyway, Sanogo belongs in the 'random youngsters' thread we always seem to do. He's only got his own thread cos we're desperate!
So whats the over/under on total goals for this guy? 5? 10? I'd say over 5. Under 10.
Next season? Or career?
Touché.
Next season I hope!
1-3 then, next season - Carling Cup only.
More likely (hopefully) he gets loaned out though. So actually, 0.

Flopped in the Segunda, I believe, back in Bolivia now
Imminent signing Sanogo scored for the French U20s yesterday - haven't seen it but apparently his first touch was sublime
Did well to control that ball.
Good touch, with his left foot too.
He big, still going to fill out more too!
I read about that touch being "sublime" not sure about that. He kills the ball well then reacts to where it is quickly.
'Sublime' is one of those football commentary words that doesn't really mean anything anymore. Like 'aplomb'.
Great turn though. I love a forward who can spin and hit the ball like that.
Unimpressive.
I can do that.
Pics or it didn't happen :p
Nice finish, but I was expecting something better tbh.

And my own personal favourite: "World Class".
I love "slalom". Because it usually means a really nice run occurred.
Who uses "slalom"?
Skiing commentators?
Wondered what football commentator used that word.
Probably a commentator for Fox Sports or something.
A "slamloming run" is a pretty standard term for commentators.
Tbf I learnt alot of terms from football commentary, quite refreshing at times.
Rohit wrote:Who uses "slalom"?
Commentators used to use it for Shava in the days when he could actually run
I used to slalom my way through fils on the dancefloor to get ma drink on at the bar

Obviously not in the nineties, otherwise you would be talking like Statto

Sounds like we already wrapped this one up.
I predicted 28th of June fot this in the announce first signing prediction thread.
Hmmm. 10 more days for it to be official.
Is Wenger on holidays?

Yep, done deal it would seem:
ESPN wrote:And the Frenchman said he could not wait to kick-start his career in the Premier League with the Gunners.
"It will be an amazing adventure," he added. "I am just eager to start in one of the best leagues in the world. It is a dream that has come true."
Exciting times!
He scored France's second in their 3-1 win over Ghana yesterday.
