Bit surprised as I didn't think he'd go out until he won the Champions League again. Actually surprised he's 71 to be honest, thought he was closer to 80 than 70 for some reason.

Not sure why Moyes seems to be the number 1 choice. It's a massive job, possibly the holy grail in club management and he has not managed a top club before, has no champions league experience and has no experience of being expected to win everything. Hope he fails miserably.

it's coming out now that rooney wants out, but fergie rejected his request a few weeks ago. moyes coming in would surely mean rooney is on the way out? losing fergie and rooney in one swoop would be fantastic. i want them to bleed!

If Rooney's unhappy with the way he's been being deployed by Ferguson, or about being left out of key matches, Moyes could be the circuit-breaker.

Apparently the pair settled the issue of the biography and court case years ago, Rooney apologised in person.

Another one since Fergie's retirement was announced, or just the same one to which Gazza refers? That is the one from a couple of weeks ago - presumably rejected at a minimum on the grounds that Rooney didn't know the plan?
