Only an idiot would expect him to have to win the CL though. If he wins the league he'll be fine.

Sammer will expect Guardiola to win the CL at least once over the 3 year contract.

There will naturally be unfavourable comparisons to this season

Higuain lacking pace is quite a myth I must say. Watching Madrid match now and he has outpaced the Osasuna's defence countless of times.

Benzema is a player with so much more in his locker but Higuain is clinical. Callejon is someone I would be very interested as well if they are going to sell.

Maybe Osasuna just have slow defenders.

Higuain: "I leave Real Madrid. Decision is taken. Juventus? It is one of the possible destinations."

Hope it happens.

So we can heartily LOL at Jovetic's shattered dream and him having to play alongside Walcott next season.

I want Higuain and Jovetic. Those two together with Santi and Walcott would score a ton of goals. Blow Juventus out of the water with our bids.

One of the two would be a good start. Surely they can't both get snapped up by Juve antijinx

I think, we are waiting for Juve to finish their deal so that we can get the other guy (Jovetic, most probably) at a cut price. I only hope someone like Chelsea doesn't come in and snap up the leftover player once Juve are done with their thing.

Don't think Benzema will ever reach what he's capable of.
(possible jinx alert)

Feel sad for this guy (well not really he makes millions etc.). He's quoted as saying [on his decision to leave] "It’s a decision I have taken calmly over time. I have been here seven years, they try to sell me every pre-season and I need to go somewhere I am truly wanted."

Would be a great player to sign imo. But, as db_is_me's checklist states, he's probably not coming here.

Welcome to Abu Dhabi.

Im sure Juve wants both, Higuain and Jovetic. Fiorentina is in a good position currently and asking cash only which Juve doesnt want to pay (£25m reportedly). Juve wants to offer players as part of the deal.

Not my first choice but he'd do really well for us.

Would show we means business too

I want Rooney. Nothing else will do now.

I'm not so keen on Rooney. Think he'll struggle to stay fit and motivated

I think he will be fantastic here.

May be just past the right age but Wenger will do wonders with him.

and he'll stop being a prick as well.
