On Cesc
Just watched the Barca game. Switched off after Fabregas goal. It was a beautifully-taken chance that most of our forwards could not replicate. As a football fan I was elated. As an Arsenal fan I was saddened. It reminded me that we wasted the last few years with such a delightful player on our books.
We can all sit here and say fuck Barca, but Cesc did the right thing for his career. He's wasted enough time playing next to Denilson and Chamakh.
On Guardiola
On another note, Barca finished the game playing with 2 full backs, 7 midfielders and whatever Messi is. And it worked really well. They hold possession so well and are so good at team defense that Pep Guardiola has advanced to a post-center half era. The guy is one of the few true coaching innovators.
