Would be good for us if he headed over.

Seen a rumor that we may be linked to Canales, the exciting kid who went to Real a year or two too early. Not sure Mourinho would give up such a great talent, but there might be a chance if one considers that men like Mourinho probably think only about the upcoming season and not the future of the club (given the demanding nature of the clubs they go to).

Imagine being a young player trying to break through and then Mourinho arrives as your new manager, must be a nightmare.

Imagine being a long suffering supporter of a big side who haven't won anything for 6 years and then Mourinho arrives as your new manager.

You're right, that sounds worse.

You'd be laughing more as you hold the PL/ CL cups in your sweaty chubby little hands.

And to think the question was fairly innocuous

Ferguson is such a prick. The press should boycott United and teach them a lesson.

Can't wait for him to fuck off.

there is a reason he covered his mouth while saying it. he's a coward and plays like one so i would quicker believe marcelo.

busquets is in no position to take the piss out of marcelo's looks

spanish men are in general the ugliest men along with the germans in europe

most spanish men have horse mouths filled with big tombstone teeth

Mangers' Team of the Decade

MANAGERS' TEAM OF DECADE
GK: Edwin van der Sar
RB: Gary Neville
CB: Nemanja Vidic
CB: John Terry
LB: Ashley Cole
RM: Cristiano Ronaldo
CM: Steven Gerrard
CM: Paul Scholes
LM: Ryan Giggs
S: Didier Drogba
S: Alan Shearer

Sir Alex Ferguson's 2007/8 Manchester United side were chosen as the outstanding team of the decade, ahead of Arsenal's 2003/4 'Invincibles' and Jose Mourinho's 2005/6 title winners.

😆

No Henry or Vieira? Campbell? Rio? Really?

Fuck me. 😆

I'm speechless.

'Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard (33%) is the only non-United player in midfield, partnering Scholes (23%) in the centre, meaning there was no place for Roy Keane (17%), Cesc Fabregas (10%) or Frank Lampard (10%).'

Vieira doesn't even feature in the top 5.

'In attack, Chelsea's Didier Drogba (23%) and former Newcastle star Alan Shearer (23%) were the joint favourites of the managers, seeing off competition from Thierry Henry (17%), Wayne Rooney (20%) and Dennis Bergkamp (10%).'

Henry's fourth behind Drogba, Shearer and Rooney. van Horseface, who I'd argue was the second/third best striker this decade doesn't make the top five either.

These are Premier league managers we're talking about, not one of those rubbish internet polls.

Thats the problem. Its currently full of brits, only Wenger, Ancelotti and Martinez isn't. Most of them are biased therefore that list. Furthermore, we haven't been a bigish team to a long time and not won anything, obviously they will slant towards Manure and rate them higher.

Pires won't be on the list ahead of Giggs and rightly so, no matter how much we love Bobby. Pires would have a better chance challenging CRonaldo, but then again he is one of the world's best players at the moment so again, no contest. I think longevity played a huge part, just very shocked Drogba is ahead of Henry, heck even fucknig Rooney was ahead.

How do they get some of these %'s? 20 managers, so each manager's vote is worth 5% surely.

What a shite poll.

GK: Cech
RB: Gary Neville
CB: Rio
CB: Campbell
LB: Ashley Cole
RM: Cristiano Ronaldo
CM: Vieira
CM: Lampard
LM: Ryan Giggs
S: ????
S: Henry

Mine would something like that.

Lehmann

Lauren
Campbell
Toure
Cole

Freddie
Gilberto Silva
Vieira
Bobbi

Bergkamp
Thierry

Invincible!

Not the team of the decade though!

Van Der Saar
Neville Rio Campbell Cole
Ronaldo Lampard Vieira Giggs
RvN Henry

Team of the decade has got to be the Invincibles followed by the Chelsea 05/06 not United 07/08.

That team of the decade is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

No Henry is just retarded. How short some people's memories are. From 02 to 06 the guy was unstoppable.

No team of the decade is complete without Eboue, almunia, and Denilson,

Eduardo obviously still remembers some of Robin's teachings...

Well no Arsenal team of the later part of it anyway, as they were virtually ever presents.

Seems odd that neither Henry nor Viera made that team.
Would have thought that for the first half of the decade they were the top players in their positions.

Do Drogba and Gerrard get in because of length of service or something? Or because they were still around at the end of the decade?

Premiership managers are a funny lot.

Basically, they didn't give a shit and spent barely 30 seconds jotting down the names that immediately came to mind. Same reason why people like Cannavaro can win world player of the year off the back of three good performances at the world cup.

united get de gea. apparently fergie has the green light to get more big players.

Any keeper they get would very likely be a step down from Van Der Saar, including De Gea.

Yep. As of next season their keeping situation will have gone slightly downhill while ours will have improved. No bad thing.

As talented as he may be, at the end of the day he's a relatively inexperienced 20 year old going to arguably the biggest club in the world and expected to replace Van Der Sar. It'll be interesting to see how he handles that pressure, and what course of action they take if he looks to be crumbling a bit at any point.

United have NOT signed De Gea yet. His lawyer has released this statement to the press, basically saying he won't be making any decisions until after the Under 21 tournament has finished on June 30th. Would be delighted if he chose to accept Atletico's offer instead.

Is fergie such an idiot that he would make a public statement before it was done and dusted? Would be hilarious if he stayed at Atletico now.
