Kompany too. Did a job on Rooney like I haven't seen in a while from a CB, following him deep at the right times and making it as difficult as possible for the cunt to turn/initiate United attacks. That's how you play him. Sometimes I wonder why so many teams let him run around freely and do his thing.

Spot on by Mancini tonight. Doesn't make a difference to me who wins the title, but have to say I loved the little confrontation between the managers. Chew at that one Fergie.

I quite enjoyed watching United bottle the last few weeks, largely because shit like that never happens to them.

City are a nothing club, good luck to them but I can't bring myself to care about their circus.

That's not how I understood it, with 'patience' being the operative word.

Toure didn't want to be parked somewhere which could hamper his development with no prospect of breaking into the first team. Going by the way most players seem to suffer when we send them out on loan for 3 years you can't blame him.

Of course we could have signed him at various points since, but I don't think we deliberately passed up on him.

Well, he was 15 years old at the time....even at Arsenal there are limits to how far a club will go for someone that young.

And this was in 2003, the playing field was completely different, maybe Muamba showed equal promise at the time. You never know.

Why we crying over Toure?
City - United game was a letdown. Ferguson just parked the bus rather shoddily and destroyed the game as a spectacle. He was playing for a draw. Even if he was hoping he could win with a lucky counter attack, Scholes, Park and Giggs weren't the perfect ingredients for such a strategy.

Was a good result for the neutral. It means I still have two rounds of footy to enjoy.

Kompany's the guy I'd take from City. Not just a very good defender, but a personality that you can't have enough of in your team.

I still don't know why Wenger didn't move on him when he left Belgium and then again when he left Germany for City. Can only think it was his constant troubles with injuries. Wenger talked about him a number of times over the years, must regret not taking the gamble now.

Vert different player now to be fair. From a ball playing centrehalf to a rugged ballwinner is not the most obvious change.

I suppose, but Wenger must have known better than most how much potential there was there. £6m I think City paid for him, too - when they were still two bob under Sven and the bloke from Thailand.

Wenger always spoke glowingly about him in press conferences when asked about him.
