I remember Cesc in his day playing cross field long passes to pick out van Persie.
He could operate excellently in this team and he could adapt to our current style of play.
He could easily feed Gervinho and Theo on the wings.
He was a pass master not just a limited tippy tappy merchant.
Stop trying to revise history Y va, while all these points taken individually may be true he wasn't known for his Beckhamesque diagonal crosses, thats not how it worked out in reality.
Fabregas pulled the strings and as it happens he specialised in little tippy tappy central through balls, so it's normal that our whole style of play revolved around that.

How is it Cesc´s fault that the manager only decided to buy a few experienced players AFTER he was sold?
I never said it was, I'm on record as far back as 2008 decrying the loss of steel and experience in the form of Gilberto and Flamini to back up Fabregas.

As far as I'm aware we have been playing them for 3 years, the fact is that they've been ineffective is due to Fabregas' centralisation.

Since when did Cesc decide his position on the pitch, or the way we were supposed to play?
He was given a free role by Wenger, and as people have pointed out here Guardiola has noted his anarchic style.
And as I said before he pulled all the strings, so it's disingenuous to suggest he didn't dictate our style.

Put Cesc in this team that we have now and we would be up there with the Manc clubs. Guaranteed. Stop blaming Cesc for what really is Wenger´s fault. As far as I am concerned, Cesc is the third best player I have ever seen in an Arsenal shirt after Henry and Bergkamp.
You must be joking.....😆
Yes it was Wengers fault in the sense that he put Fabregas in there as this was the system he choose to play, but once there Fabregas did his thing and we were reduced to a pathetic deformed caricature of Barcelona.
You'll probably slip out of this by saying that you haven't actually seen all the great Arsenal players that people will name- "Live" or by admitting that you only started supporting Arsenal recently and don't really know much about the pre-Wenger era.
And in a couple of years when Ramsey and Wilshere are in full flow and have hopefully won something people will be saying Fabrewho?
