According to that Guardian article Cesc's thoughts on this are unknown.
I suppose Wenger may have the inside track on Cesc's plans.

Wenger also confirmed the existence of a first option clause.

Wenger seems adamant that Cesc has no intention of leaving this year, as Timbo said United look utterly daft if that's actually the case.

Embarrassing for Moyes that he's gone after a player we've got a clause on and been rebuffed.

What was he thinking? That Fabregas was actually open to a move but we couldn't be bothered going after our refusal clause, despite the fact we seem to be spraying huge bids on any momzer with legs?

Do you want Fabregas to get assassinated or something? Can you even imagine the trauma if we did some deal whereby we scored £10m at Barcelona's expense by using our clause to broker him to Madrid? :o

You'd hope the legal technicalities rule out that sort of sneakduggery anyway! 🙂

What does a first refusal mean anyway?
Barca inform us that he's available for sale, we make a derisory offer they reject it and they then announce that they're open for business.......
