As far as I know we've got first refusal and a buy back clause. Meaning if someone comes makes a bid for him, we get informed and have the option to buy him back at a fixed price.

Moyes has confirmed that Man Utd have made a bid for Fabregas.

I must say the way Man utd are going about their transfer affairs is very strange. Like Captain says in another thread been a PR disaster. Losing Fergie and Gill in the same summer has obviously changed things a lot more than I thought it would

I would have though it predictable that losing Fergie and Gill would cause disruption and a certain degree of confusion.

I do think he wants to join us again, IF we prove to him we are going to sign big names alongside him.

Don't think he will go.

He's good enough to get quite a few games at Barcelona, and if he's not, he's not going to bust his way into the Spanish starting lineup from either Arsenal or United.

The constant stories of a departure might have an effect over a couple of seasons, maybe next summer.

I reckon Wenger knows on this one, he'll remain at Barca this season and re-join us next 🙂

Think it would be very unlike Wenger to publicly claim to know Fabregas's mind if he weren't fairly sure on it. That's pretty indiscreet by his standards.

Probably more by the desire to humiliate Moyes!

The Wenger "well actually you don't know what you're talking about, that's my boy" and Mourinho "must be hard being second choice under your former abusive step-dad David, Wayne" tag team must be doing Moyes' head in. 😃

Pretty much the only way Moyes can make it look like he ran this summer now is if he ships Rooney and brings in Ronaldo.

When asked if he had received any official contact back from Barcelona, Moyes said: "I couldn’t tell you exactly. I’m in contact with the executive vice chairman [Ed Woodward], who has been dealing with it just now.

"I'll hopefully know a little more in the next day or so. It’s the middle of the night back in England right now so I may have a bit more information in the next day or so about how it's going.

"We're trying very hard to make some additions to the squad and hopefully there'll be some good news in the not too distant future."
