If there is any truth to the 50% sell on clause it's very difficult for that to happen. However, I can see him coming here and asking for a move in a couple of years when it's the 'last big contract' time, if we don't start winning.

I don't believe United will bid more than 35m Pounds for him. In that case we will put in a bid more than 17 million making things complicated.
United and the others will want to stay away from this situation.

That stuff doesn't matter. If United put in an acceptable bid it will be up to the player even if we do match their bid (or half of it).
