I had thought he'd stick with Barca but there is some case to be made for saying they are in decline and that he's not making inroads into contributing to a way forward.

It was his boyhood club, it would be like one of us having the opportunity to join Arsenal. Don't say that you wouldn't do everything you could to join Arsenal if you were in his position.

How old was he when he signed the contract? 19? 20? He was still a kid really.

He should have put in a transfer request, and shouldn't have gone on strike, I agree, all I'm saying is that it is understandable.

He took a pay cut and didn't take the 'bonus' he was entitled to when he left. That was a well reported part of facilitating the deal.

He asked to leave and forwent his bonus. That is a transfer request.

what are you on about, the contract worked in our favor since it just guarantees his transfer value (assuming he wouldn't pull a whatever that thing is called that's not a bosman).

i really don't understand why people hate on the players for ditching us. there's absolutely no reason to stay when the uniteds, barcas, madrids, bayerns of the world come calling.

Fabregas did waive his loyalty payment etc. I'm not sure that's something that anyone can pin on him.

Y'know Qs we agree on so many things, it's strange we disagree on the Uzmanov issue.

With the money we'd have to pay for him we'd get a far more important player that we really need who could add real improvement to the team rather than this fucking show pony.

Im surprised at you biggus. He is very direct and scores or creates 20-30 goals a season. Except for his build id have thought he's your type of player.

Anyway, we need to move on. He has and I doubt he has any real desire to come back just yet.

Meh we have Cazorla/Wilshere/Rosicky/Walcott/Chamberlain plenty of pint sized attacking midfielder's, we have no ball winners no powerful midfield dominator's and no leader.

Its funny how most on here give out about wengers tatics. But most players only look half as good after they leave. In light of this you must realize the benefits of Wenger tinkering tactics to play to our strengths rather than the oppositions weaknesses.

Just had a look at Barca forums, they are absolutely livid with Cesc. Can't believe they hate him so much, its like how we feel against the likes of Chamakh and Almunia.

There is a thread there saying that we are ripping them off since 2000 with the likes of Overmars, Petit, Hleb, Song 😆 They want a full refund on Cesc.
