I'm a bit shit at this stuff. Just tried to embed a youtube clip in a thread using the embed code. Previewed the post and the video was there but when I submitted the post just the code was showing and no vid. How do I do this properly?

Run your cursor over till you find the insert a video tab click the video type tag and copy delete the http bit and just paste.

To move to the forum (any other or the same) from the thread which i am reading, do I always have to go to the top of the page?
I thought there was a provision at the bottom of the page as well which i am not able to see now.

Yeah, that changed with the upgrade. I miss that too. We are lazy buggers, aren't we? It is exactly one extra click, and yet it bothers us. 🙂

There's a onemoreinthetolly homepage link at the bottom of the page. Between "contact us" and 'return to top"

Yeah, but that takes you back to the forum start page. Before, at the bottom of each page, there was a drop down menu where you could choose which section of the forum you wanted to go to. If I had finished reading a thread in 'The Arsenal', but not every thread in that forum, I could easily get back to the start page of 'The Arsenal' with just one click.
As I said - it is exactly one click more now, and I am a bit ashamed to admit that it bothers me...

It is petty but has bothered me for a while now.
How difficult is it to replace the rarely used "post thread" box with a "view new post" box?

Biggest miss for me on mobile is the lack of next "newest" and "oldest" threads. Going back to the subforum index on mobile takes time.
