As for the "strawman", well, Higuain's one of Europe's most consistently productive strikers. He's going to cost 30m just like any of the others. I suspect we'll all be shocked by the fees that change hands for that type of player this summer.
I can't really understand why you wouldn't have been keen for us to sign another decent striker at just about any price last summer. We led the league until January despite being well short in the forward positions.
