Have to say, I think the bloke is brilliant. There are valid concerns about his lack of form for Barcelona and his injury-proneness but bloody hell. If we have a chance to sign him we need to do it.

Same age same goals to games ratio. Same struggles this season.

Iniesta is older and has a worse goals to game ratio than both. Would take him too if he was on the market.

Sure but hes far more similar in style to Gervinho than Inestia.

When he's put wide, perhaps. He was world class when Udinese used him as a No. 10 though.

He's in our spending bracket now, and he might not be again. Should go for it. Get our forward line where it needs to be in terms of personnel at least. This guy and a real CF would do it.

Yes please, would be a fantastic signing.

Like Mata, Silva and Cazorla you mean?

I'd take him, but there's no way he'd cost as much as Isco will. Isco will likely replace him at Barça, anyway.

Didn't Barcelona pay as much as £35m for Sanchez? I doubt they're letting him go for less than 25m.

How much would Isco cost?

Rumours suggest that he'd be a bargain since Malaga are in financial troubles (under 20mil?). Same way we got Cazorla and Monreal.

No. Those guys can cut it in the prem

I do not watch much Italian football but seem to remember watching highlights of this guy's devastating counter attacking runs for Udinese. Maybe that's why he is not effective at Barcelona who dominate possession all the time with most of the game is played in the opposition half which doesn't suit his main strength as there is no space to exploit.

I think we'd be better off signing a player who likes to operate mainly as a centre forward with somewhat better touch and finishing ability than Giroud. Lewandowski perhaps?

A Wenger team always gets better results with a focal point of some sort, even if they don't have a Henry-esque level of mobility. Without that true forward we have issues with getting the ball quickly into danger areas.

Lewandowski is a fantastic player and we should have gone after him years ago instead of Monsieur Lead boots.
May have a chance now as manure do not need him as much but cannot see Wenger dumping Giroud so quickly, unless we fail to make top 4.

Yep. I don't think United are likely to go for him with both Welbeck and Van Persie on the books and doing well - that was a last summer thing.

Thing is he wouldn't come cheap but I doubt Sanchez would be any cheaper. Anyway there is no link.

I would gladly take Jovetic, Giroud and Sanogo as our main striking options next year.

Sanchez can play on the wing BW. He is not a CF
