You don't think a forward line of Walcott, Sanchez and Chamberlain/ Wilshere/ Cazorla could work? You think we absolutely need presence up top in the League?
I don't know. I don't think Walcott will have a good season to begin with. I think he will struggle when he gets back, and there are long-term concerns given the nature of his injury. I'm a big fan of Chamberlain on the wing though, which is why I would rather spend whatever it takes to secure a top target up front and then take it from there. I'm not saying we need physical presence up front, but we need outstanding quality. These days you need to pay through your teeth to get it.
I'm not opposed to the idea of signing Morata by the way, but we need to actually do it if he's the target. We can't spend the whole summer haggling over a few million quid while we're splashing £32 million on a winger. If Wenger thinks that Morata is the way forward then he needs to give Real whatever they ask for. Every season it will become more and more difficult to secure top-end forward talent, and we have none coming through. Sanogo might have hidden qualities, but I'll bet all the money in my bank account that he'll never be a starter for Arsenal.
