How much success have we had with a target man in the last few years with little pace in the forward line?
We are always looking to control play as we are unable to effectively play on the counter due to lack of pace.
Theo is much better than he was 2 seasons ago. He has improved in every aspect and his technical progress has been amazing. It's worth a shot, no pie in the sky.
Unless we have one of the best forwards we will never be able to hold up the ball up front against the best sides anyways. Rather than pass it to feet and expect your forward to hold it up why not play it into space and use pace in the forward line. Liverpool did it very successfully last season and our midfield is much better than theirs.
