My take on it as well.

A cut price Loic Rémy and Flamini on a free.

Sounds about right.

They're French, they're cheap! They're French, they're cheap! French french french! Cheap cheap cheap! The Wenger and Kroenke Show!!!

Yup, he had one good season that was largely due to being able to give Fabregas a platform.

He was a shit player before, and he's been a shit player since.

Heh but someone to fetch the water is exactly what we need but worst player to screw us over?
Did he nearly crash his car because he was so insulted by our offer?
Did he leave and blame Arsenal for prolonging jis injuries by mistreatment?
Did he meet officials from another club for "ice cream'?
Did he sit on his arse and sulk on the pitch rather than lead?
Did he destabilise the team for over a year because of his well know plans to go to another club?
Did he leave to directly join one of most hated bitter rivals?

Not even close.

Which of those events happened on the football pitch?

You shouldn't have bitten.
Burnsey's just setting you up for an all night session of argument

I'll admit i'm a hopeless Flamini fanboy and would probably be pleased to have him back. He's done ok at Milan, not set the world alight or anything but people who make out he was a big flop there are wide of the mark.

That said he's a bit injury prone and we probably need someone better.

Not true imo, he still covers a tonne of ground.

Thats not what you said originally though, you never mentioned the pitch and you didn't make clear who he was supposed to have screwed over "us" the club or "us" the fans, but anyway all of the screwings over I listed certainly impacted "us" on the pitch in subsequent games.

We could certainly do with a Flamini TYPE in the squad. Preferably someone better though. You never once need to worry about his commitment on the pitch. His attitude is always spot on, I'll gladly give him that.

What I said was that he was the worst player to have ever screwed us over.

The adjective 'worst' goes with the noun 'player', and that's really the reason I don't want him, not whether or not I think he came across as a total mercenary when he left.

Oh you mean he was the "worst" as in worst technically (whatever that means).
Matt did what he was asked to do in whatever position with all his heart to the best of his technical ability, I'd prefer that by far over a so-called "technically superior" player that only does it when he could be arsed, we've had a abundance of those over the past few years so imo they've screwed us over far worse- some of them should be charged with taking money under false pretences.

Personally I think we should sign Cabaye off Newcastle. Would cost more, but would suit us a lot better. A proper midfielder and not a specialist. We need a few more of those.
