If you're throwing around money like that in Germany, you want to be getting the blonde, arsenal supporting left winger who is playing at Wembley today.

The new Robert Pires?

Wait, what? He is a fan of the Arsenal?

You didn't know? Said so himself before he went to you know where

If we have a proper season that makes us more attractive than Dortmund, he's available for around 30m euros next year. Wages won't be an issue.

Don't know how I missed that. Even more reasons to like the boy.

They say its the hope that kills you. I want it happen more than a 14 year old wants to touch a boob!

I remember being in a steam room aged 14. This Swedish bird came in and got her gigantic knorks out. I didn't take in anything at school the following week

I heard a rumour/lie/maybe true story that Wenger met with the Pepe Reina in Spain yesterday.

Arghh, the Pepe Reina story just doesn't go away. Do not want.

My sources have told me the player in question is at London Colney right now.

Training with the whole Dortmund team unfortunately

Make a few solid additions this season, one or two quality attackers and then sell someone like Giroud or Podolski and bring in Reus in 2014.

No need to sell them. Man U keep quality players like Hernandes and Nani on the bench. Why sell two international forwards when we can just keep them around? They'll get games.

The mirror says Wenger wants to sign Paul Pogba.

Just don't see Juve selling him after the great season he had unless the rumors about him being unsettled due to the racist abuse are true. If so, snap him up! The comparisons to Vieira get thrown around too often these days (Diaby, M'Vila, Kondogbia) but I like it with Pogba. Big, strong, mobile, good passing range and hits some absolute screamers.

Pogba is great. His passing can be sloppy but I'd take him a heartbeat.

Pogba is never gonna happen. Its just for pay raise/new contract after a great season. Plus he is too green IMO.

Wenger: "We're following Clément Grenier. I like his intelligence and his vision of the game." TF1

" Yes, he reminds me of Fabregas" TF1

I really hope it doesn't get any further than just following him.

😐 I kind of fear truth in that rumour.
Le 10 Sport in France reported a few weeks ago that we were going to make a double bid for Gonalons and Grenier.
Lyon being in a vulnerable financial state....
It sounds very Wenger.

Grenier did manage to score this supreme goal recently, can't say I know enough about him to say whether or not this is a regular occurence or an accurate indicator of his talent.

the question for Wenger is what is the best way to split 70 pounds?
a) two ways
b) five ways
c) don't spend it (at) all

Never been much of a goalscorer - until this season, he'd only ever scored one goal for Lyon, and never scored in the French youth teams either.

Seems he scored a handful of nice goals this year though.

He wouldn't make us any better than we are at the moment.

I don't actually know much about him. Only watched Lyon a couple of times in the EL this season, and he didn't really stand out

Fuck sakes. Why cant we just stop fucking around and get quality players.

Skimmed through the Grenier thread on an OL forum.
He's not worshipped that's for sure (remember reading the Kos thread on a Lorient forum before we signed him and they loved him).
From the bits and pieces that I read: he's technically gifted, shows flashes of genius, can pull the strings in midfield or can go missing.
He seems injury prone and not exactly what you'd call robust.
He's certainly not at the level of development or maturity where we could count on him to significantly improve our midfield.
A gamble, a project.
Most worryingly the player he was most often compared to was Gourcuff

To be honest, sounds like the sort of thing Wenger would say in response to a direct question about a player whilst watching a game. He says this kind of thing often, about some seriously hopeless players (Robbie Earnshaw springs to mind!), and it never goes anywhere

I watched him a couple of times, not impressed. Certainly not even at Nasri level when he joined us.

So a week after the first rumor of CFC willing to David Luiz, Duncan Castles says Mourinho is open to selling Luiz and Torres if the right money is offered.

What is intriguing is that Castles is someone who is known to be close to both Mou and AVB.

Mindgames!!

According to twitter Grimandi is watching Grenier tonight (who has just scored). Might be becoming a thread worthy rumour, i think there might be something in this.

Yep, scarily I think there is something in the Grenier story.
Can't quite work up the enthusiasm to start his thread though.

so our most solid links are coming from low rent players in ligue 1. im shocked.
