To be frank i'd rather we just stick with Giroud then go for the likes of Benteke, Remy, Michu. Only striker's worth going for, if we're serious, is Lewandowski, Cavani, Neymar or Falcao etc

Surely there's a point in going for strikers that are just about to become the next Lewandowski, Cavani, Neymar or Falcao etc.

They aren't though imo. Anyway the team needs a star player to get rid of the confidence issues it has.

Expecting Sagna or Jenks to marshal the right flank is naive at best.

That's understandable - if Villa are to climb from where they are now they have to keep him, however I think Lambert will be disappointed as I reckon Lerner will have no problem selling him to the highest bidder.

Wenger has always gone for those type of strikers. Benteke wont happen, probably Jovetic or Rooney will though.

This guy scored 19 goals in the PL with dross around him. Only 22 as well. Why haven't we payed the £12 million to get this guy yet!? Higher ceiling than Higuain, cheaper than Michu, more PL ready than Jovetic and Sanogo.
