To be frank i'd rather we just stick with Giroud then go for the likes of Benteke, Remy, Michu. Only striker's worth going for, if we're serious, is Lewandowski, Cavani, Neymar or Falcao etc
Surely there's a point in going for strikers that are just about to become the next Lewandowski, Cavani, Neymar or Falcao etc.
They aren't though imo. Anyway the team needs a star player to get rid of the confidence issues it has.

Expecting Sagna or Jenks to marshal the right flank is naive at best.
We need wing play for teams who sit deep and stay compact, moving to a 4-3-1-2 isn't the answer.

I read in the ever unreliable mish mash of mostly fiction and very little fact Daily Mail that Lambert will do everything in his power to hold onto Benteke this summer. That's understandable - if Villa are to climb from where they are now they have to keep him, however I think Lambert will be disappointed as I reckon Lerner will have no problem selling him to the highest bidder. According to the DM both us and Spurs are interested.

Seen him a few times and he was completely uninvolved in the game everytime might just be the shitness of villa tho. From the interview he sounds like he'd force a move.
