Big improvement over the nacho eater. Not sure yet if he he's a massive improvement over Gibbs, but he if Gibbs is out for half of our remaining games, then it could be a good signing.

And in that case, Santos would join Arshavin in the league of guys who are stealing money from Arsenal. Between them, they're probably taking 140,000 pounds a week for nought. That's a top, top, super quality player's salary right thurr.

He didn't try anything too exotic, kept it simple most of the times, but you can see the touch and technique of a good player. Bread and butter for all Spanish internationals actually.

I like his crossing technique. And he will get alot more involved with Podolski playing ahead of him instead of Ox who is a little more selfish and doesn't bring fullbacks into play

Think he had a free licence to get forward today. Stoke have won 1 out of 21 away games and simply weren't interested in getting forward. But you can only play what's in front of you and Monreal had a solid start to his Arsenal career. Very promising first game.

Nachos easily checks the first. The second? Not so much. We had grave needs at center back, DM and possibly AM/striker. This was not a priority, but he should be a good part towards solidifying our shocking defense.

But Claudius it must be obvious to all now that Wenger is very happy with the players we have, after all he bought them and there is plenty of money to spend at the drop of a hat, transfers don't just happen overnight there would be months of back and forth negotiation we would be in any number of them at one time and Wenger will strike a deal instantly agreeing to the asking price if a sudden crisis arises.
Thats why we often get trumped at the last minute, Wenger is a terrible coach but a great businessman.

They are bound to gas it, history has a point of proving itself, as Klaus said we have been poor and are staring to show signs of improvement.

Arteta is back, the summer signings have upped a gear, we are void of outgoing transfer speculation.

If we can just limit the school boy mistakes I can't see Spurs outdoing us, not to mention that Chelsea are dropping themselves back into the pack. Third place may be more realistic for us than 4th.

Sometimes. Other times we get linked to players for months / weeks before they actually join

i like his physicality. did he lose a header at all? unheard of for a recent arsenal LB.

We beat Stoke in the air and we won more 50-50s than them throughout the game. Impressive.
