I thought he had a very good game. I think he'll comfortably prove to be a better all round player than Gibbs in that position very soon. He exudes a sort of calm, assured manner that Gibbs lacks.
His attacking movement is great, varied and intelligent, and he drove into and created space off the ball well. I don't know how well he'll link with Podolski as he quite often ran inside the winger/fullback and they may get in each others way. Probably not an issue though as I suspect they're both intelligent enough to figure it out.
