We have an attack minded team - I think not.
We have a team that's told that is what they are but who do not seem to have got the hang of how this attacking business works on a regular basis.
Premier League Managers

Well there isn't another one Kid he's unique- There I've said it
And as I've said countless number of times- He's the one papering over the cracks, best that he goes and the whole rotten charade ends and we can start the rebuild.
Why did you guys have to get all technical?
All I meant was that Wenger focuses more on attack than he does defence and it shows.
@ Dula
You guys think I'm some sort of Wenger Youth so just included that to show that I'm open to change

Relax, this is the guy they must be on about.
Fresh start, no experience at all, zero connections

I thought so
But you specifically said "now we are an attack minded team"
Wenger Youth - excellent Squallkid
I wouldn't want Allardyce here even though I do rate him as a PL manager. He has proven his ability up to a certain level, but am fairly certain he wouldn't work out here. Maybe it's being harsh on him seeing as how he has never been given an opportunity at a big club and quite possibly his direct brand of football is the best way to "overachieve" with lower to middle ranking PL clubs. Unfortunately he's at an age where it seems unlikely that people will trust him to change his approach even with better players and a bigger budget.
Of the managers currently in the PL, the ones I can potentially see taking over at Arsenal, though not directly after Wenger are Laudrup, Martinez, Moyes, Benitez and Rodgers. Benitez is the only one I trust from that group at this stage to follow directly after Wenger if it came to it. I would like to see what Laudrup could do if given the opportunity. Has tended to do well relative to the budget he's been given at previous clubs and could surely attract some big names considering his own illustrious playing career in Spain and Italy.

"Sam Allardyce, personal trainer". That has to be an auction for one of his windbreakers.

Maybe I should have put "IMO" at the end of that.
We are an attack minded team but having a mindset to attack and then actually doing it are two very different things.
If you have the mindset to do something then you do it.
If you're in two minds as to what you're supposed to do you play like our players currently do.
Anyway the this is waaay off of the points
I would rather talk about this than talk about Sam fucking Allardyce being our next manager.
Well it's not all about you Squallkid
Look we all know that Lagos said it tongue in cheek as in "I'd prefer Satan himself to Wenger" or Klaus's "worse than Hltler" crack.
We've gotten top four for over fifteen years under Wenger while spending less on transfers than any other club.
Looking around the league, here's my thinking on who could achieve in line with that:
Probably: Ferguson
Possibly: Moyes
Never (not good enough): Rodgers, Clarke, Hughton, Jol, Allardyce, Pardew, Pulis, Martinez, McDermott, Adkins
Never (would need to spend heavily): Redknapp, Benitez, Mancini, O'Neill
Too soon or the jury's still out: Laudrup, Villas-Boas, Lambert
We know for a fact that many of the PL managers who've been around for a good while simply can't sustain a playing group without regular heavy spending.
feels about right
although it must be said that someone like Benitez has had success early in his career with relatively low expenditure.
that group of 'Nevers' is shocking. There are a lot of bad managers in that list.
what you say about Wenger is fair. he used to have a squad with British record signings, players who were making more in nominal terms 10 years ago then our top earners now. Now that he has a little less cash to flash, he's not winning as much. I would like to see Moyes get a shot at Arsenal, Chelsea, City or United. I suspect he might do quite well.
As for Redknapp, does he spend heavily or often? Or both?
Some fair points in there Lagos.
It feels subjectively true that our squad has been consistently in decline, but there's no actual declining trend at the moment.
4th, 4th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd since the last season we won a trophy, also the season in which the bulk of the stadium construction work occurred.
I don't think your position is supported unless we drop off further from here.
All that you have to do is remember that Biggus, Lagos, Asa and maybe a few others don't believe champions league qualification has any merit. It will save you many words and plenty of time.
Is it your belief that a team of our size and wage bill expenditure should finish in the top four every year?
Answer yes and bob's your uncle.
Answer no and you need to re-evaluate exactly who talks shit far too often.
Cheers.
