I watched Outpost: Black Sun yesterday. Thought it was great. I loved the first Outpost too. The whole plot with nazi ghosts who have become unstuck in time is a terrific concept and both films portray it so well. Steve Barker looks more and more like the new Christopher Smith.

Watched Pandorum last night. How the hell did I miss it when it came? I thought it was an outstanding sci-fi flick.

Not sure, but I reacted to it too. None of the vamps were particularly endearing in this one. Which would have been fine if it hadn't been so obvious that our sympathies were supposed to lie with them.

Finally watched 'Drive'. Really liked it, very nicely done but my only criticism would be that too much music was used. I usually love the use of music to complement film but in Drive the transition between tracks wasn't always very smooth.

I think they assumed people were already onside from the other movies but its not exactly the sort of stuff that stays with you. I spent the first 15 minutes trying to remember if they'd killed Michael Sheen in any of them.

Watched The Avengers. Thought it was overrated and the 3d was so shit.

I learned a long time ago to not watch movies in 3d. Only Avatar got it right. For a lot of these action movies it's either a bland postproduction or it's an over-the-top, headache-inducing explosion of images.

Imax is the way forward. 3d is an awful gimmick.

Agree. Avatar was brilliant in 3d. For The Avengers all the 3d effects were dont post production

Here in Stockholm they don´t show any real movies in Imax format, which is a big shame. 🙁

Honestly, having lived about half my life in Skåne and the other half in Stockholm - I wouldn´t want to move back. Stockholm beats the crap out of Skåne in every single category I can think of. 🙂

There's an IMAX in Copenhagen. Think they're going to install one at Royal in Malmö too if they haven't already, since the screen is already big enough. Love that cinema.

If that's how you roll. 🙂 I lived in Stockholm for a year and couldn't stand it. I can't stand most cities after a while though. It sounds terrible to admit but I suppose it all boils down in the end to the fact that I don't like other people very much. 😆

I do however HATE narrowminded people and bigots, and I have to say that those groups are clearly bigger in Skåne than anywhere else in the country. Not a coincidence that the racists got almost 20 percent of the vote in Skåne in the last general election. 🙁

Not in Skåne in total, just Landskrona and one or two other shitholes. But yeah, I take your point. I'm not going to pretend to know what it's like to grow up here being black. Where in Malmö did you use to live?
