Haven't seen crash and I wish I had never seen Babel.

I remember viewing the other version of Crash. Think I was too young to understand what was really happening, as I can't remember anything about it.

I actually thought Crash was good, but Klaus is right that it robbed Brokeback Mountain of best picture.

They're supposedly making a film adaptation of Concrete Island starring Christian Bale at some point

You'll all have to agree to disagree. I've watched it three times now, don't really find it drags. The arbitrariness of the violence is the point.

Drive was obviously very superficial, but still thoroughly enjoyable for me. Thought the pacing was one of it's strongest points.

Yep, that's the one. Genuinely have very little recollection of it other than the ending.

Saw Kongen av Bastøy last night.

Pretty good, let's say 7/10. Somewhat reduced in impact by being a version of the Magdalen Sisters that wasn't as good, with a fairly shit ending and a really blatant whale-hunting metaphor interwoven with the action.

Stellan Skarsgård's an excellent villain. He was the only good thing about the Clive Owen King Arthur.

Perhaps a little too villainous, Burnsy. I hadn't read Girl with Dragon Tattoo or seen the Swedish film, but when I watched the English version movie I felt within seconds that he'd be the bad guy.

Right, yeah, I haven't seen that.

I did read the book of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and who the villain was was pretty obvious in that as well. Nothing worse than an obvious twist villain - eg Topher Grace in Predators. Soooo obvious it was painful.
