I've been in bed ill most of the week, so have revisited a couple of Al Pacino classics, Any Given Sunday and Scarface. Scarface is really, really depressing, but I love Al in it. The dance scene with Michelle Pfeiffer is 'ilarious. Also, having watched two seasons of Justified in quick succession, I was prompted to revisit Tim Olyphant's mirthsome performance in Go.
Have also seen some new(ish) films this week, The Boy In The Striped Pajamas, which was pretty upsetting- having read the book, I knew it would be. Julia's Eyes which is an excellent Spanish chiller (although it does go a bit bonkers towards the end, I could forgive it) featuring an excellent performance from Belen Rueda. And... Fire In Babylon about the West Indies cricket team that smashed everyone up from the mid 70's through into the 90's. It's actually comforting to know it wasn't just England on the receiving end all those years. Viv Richards and Mikey (as we know know him) Holding are brilliant, love 'em.
