Just saw Zoolander again, it's ridiculously good looking.

As much as I like it though, I can't believe they're making a 2nd one, if there was ever a one off movie, this was it.

Watched Iron Man 2 yesterday for the first time, actually enjoyed it more than the first, though that's not hard since I seem to be one of the few that didn't like the first at all.

you liked Iron Man 2 better than the first one? wow.. i thought it should have been called Iron Man 1/2 since it was half as good as the first one..

Arsenic and Old Lace: 8/10 very funny, Cary Grant and Peter Lorre are hilarious in this.
Dagon: 5/10 pretty awesome in its way if you like Lovecraft, but budget, budget, budget.
Scarface: 6/10 really not up to the standard of most "epic crime" films in my opinion. Classic though.

I hated Scarface first time I saw it. Watched it again and I loved it- we are talking the De Palma version, right?

The dance scene between Pfeiffer and Pacino is classic.

Yeah.

I enjoyed it - I watched it interrupted over two days though.

It was a quality film to start with, but the last hour or so, and the final shootout were really quite poor. Just silly. Had the Hawks version in the same DVD set but didn't actually watch it.

got enter the dragon on blu ray this past weekend. bloomin awesome. bruce lee was so darn quick

also got a batman box set. Jack Nicholson was ossum as the joker.

Saw two movies this weekend, one at cinema other at home.

Kick-Ass: fantastic flick. Really funny, excellent action. Didn't take itself too seriously. From the poster, I imagined it would be ignorant, but it was quality. 7/10
Super 8: stay away from this lump of shit. Okay, it's not crap, but unless you're a 1970s sci-fi movie fan and nostalgic for a movie that reminds you of the days when guys like Spielberg first rose, don't go. I was really looking forward to this, and was shocked at how this movie offered very little that was novel or interesting. 4/10

The Thing? I last watched that about 20 years ago. It's better than Super 8, but I'm sure it'll feel a little aged now. I remember liking it when I watched it.

Watched Knowing. Really enjoyable film actually, had me gripped till the end, had that spooky/chilling vibe to it.

Is that the Nicholas Cage one? I avoided that film as all I've heard about it was bad.

saw a few movies last weekend

Morning Glory (very light movie)... 6.5 / 10
Knight & Day.. another 6.5 (maybe 7) / 10.. had low expectations, so i was pleasantly surprised
Lincoln Lawyer 7.5 / 10.. pretty good movie

If you mean the old John Carpenter flick, it's actually pretty brilliant. Kurt Russell at his best. The animatronics / puppet freakshow is amazing in that film.

They have a re-make already? It's too soon for all these remakes. Even Conan, a b-movie, is being remade. The greed of Hollywood execs is exceeded only by that of Wall Street bankers

It's half remake, half adaptation I suppose. Carpenter's version was also a remake, something to keep in mind. And the original film was based on a novel. I had a look at IMDb though and the newest version of The Thing is still in post-production so he couldn't have meant that one. I wouldn't have deleted the post if I had seen your response. 🙂

Well, the new Conan one is guaranteed to be shit. The first one was also shit, but at least the guy that made it (John Milius) was suitably mad.

They should've made an Elric movie instead.

If they feel like re-making or re-imagining movies, they should start with Masters of the Universe.
