SUFFRAGETTE. Found it genuinely good and moving, despite the risk of it being a little bit rose-tinted and gauze-lensed it managed to keep some sort of rein on the material. Fine perspective on how women fought for the vote in the UK. ★★★★
TANGERINES. Beautifully scripted pacifist film about a conflict I previously knew little or nothing about, the Abkhazian separatist war of the early 90s in northern Georgia. Very poignant and insightful with some great comic moments. ★★★★
