Quite a few of them would agree now. To be fair, before the season started it would've been hard to imagine how a strikeforce of Van Persie, Falcao and Rooney with Di Maria supplying could fail. We knew about their defensive problems but I didn't expect them to struggle for goals.
With the money they've spent and with no European games (which is a huge advantage - as Liverpool showed last year), they should've been right up there with Chelsea. Their upcoming fixtures look horrific. It's going to be tight but it'd be a spectacular failure for them to miss out on the top 4.
