Back in the day discussion was a lot more interesting and you felt even as a non Man Utd fan they were more than willing to have a proper chat about football. Now it has it just full of a lot more WUMs and generally fans who don't stop whining and moaning. A bit more hostile to non Man Utd fans as well, especially when they've lost 😉

Nothing to do with it being a Man Utd forum, more because their general football section used to be brilliant. You'd get a good mix of opposition fans and you could have reasonable and interest discussions with opposition fans. Talking to your own fans does get boring after a while, now things are more polarised but back then everyone had a similar opinion. I usually don't venture much out of that sub section.

Moyes has got good connections in the media, despite the absolutely appalling job he did there you get the impression some journalists don't think he got a fair chance. Guy was way over his head when he walked in there, even in press conferences some of the stuff he was saying was laughable. A sub standard manager walking in to train top class players and proven winners. Quite right Rio (who is a bell end himself to be fair) called him out on it. Took a team that cruised to the title to 7th place!

Hell even LVG is getting a relatively easy ride after spending £150m in the summer.

I don't think Moyes really did get a fair go at United. He obviously made his own mistakes but it seems like he was a bit of a sacrificial lamb. Especially if you consider they didn't get the players he wanted and then went mental spending on the players LVG wanted.

He's still a decent enough manager for a non-CL side.

i agree he should have stayed. preferably for the entire length of his contract

Imagine if he did, that would be jokes. He's royally screwed them over already and another year he might have finished the job off 😆 There is a very clear reason players didn't want to join him there, without CL football it would have made things even harder. Past summer they've had to pay through their noses on nearly every transfer to get players in, if they don't get CL football this year I really think even with mega money they might find it a bit hard to bring in the type of players they want.
