Well Watchdogs is still more interesting looking than most. And Elder Scrolls online could be amazing. I'm not a big FF fan personally so meh to that one.

Sony seem to be much more focussed on indie games too. Personally that makes a big difference. There isn't much innovation in the AAA market as yesterdays game reveals proved so I'm usually looking to indie games for something a bit different.

Bear in mind most of the people who buy Ipads and Iphones do so largely based on the name. On the other hand most people who buy consoles, whether it's a 10yr old from school or a 26yr old, know a lot more about what they're buying.

Watchdogs is cross platform, available on current gen. Elder scrolls will be on xbox too.

Sony will have indies, but they have most of those on pc and funnily enough, it is nintendo who has the best policy now from what I've been reading.

Not the same, but it's strong. People love their gamerscore like their first born.

I think you overestimate the average console customer. As I said, average attach rated is 6-7 games; that's one game a year.

Well Elder Scrolls isn't announced for Xbox yet.

I imagine it is, but it was in Microsoft's conference and nowhere else.

I tried to demonstrate the differences between the two conferences, rather than what the machines will receive, as we were comparing the two (some things may have slipped the net). Final fantasy is cross platform as well in all likelihood.

Mate of mine who is a games journo reckons nearly all the 3rd party stuff MS showed is on PS4 as well.

I reckon every third party game will be cross platform; games are too expensive for exclusives now. Heard earlier in the week that Microsoft paid big money to have them featured at their conference and not even mentioned at the playstation one.

I thought I saw watchdogs in the Ubi conference, but I could be wrong. Thought it looked alot better this time around although The Division has looked the most impressive game to me so far.

Think I'm going to get the PS4 on release if they produce a better software map soon. Kind of wanted watch dogs on the wiiU because of the controller, but would like to see the differences in presentation before making that decision.

They had a direct instead of a conference and the presentation was woeful. Considering it was pre-recorded, it only gets worse.

Plus new Mario isn't what it should be. Yes, they are mostly about gameplay but Mario is always their flagship title and what they have come up with doesn't look promising.

Thought of holding off until the launch of FIFA15 on PS4 before I get the console but might be tempted to bite the bullet earlier now.

Initially my thinking dictated that I get the one game that I can play everyday and there'll be a slew of second-hand games on the market plus there'll be greater rental options. However I lack patience.
