€100 Cheaper, no always online, no DRM, second hand games, PS+ works on PS4, PS3 and vita, no region lock, etc
What do you think made Xbox look better? I can't see anything at all that they got the upper hand on.
And as I say the overwhelming response online from the gaming press and more mainstream media is that Sony is the clear winner. There's a poll on IGN for who won the night between Sony, MS and Nintendo that has Sony at over 80%.
You don't think those polls were primarily based around the negative press since Microsofts reveal and a cosmetic price difference?
It will be about 15-20 quid difference once you buy the camera for the PS4 which you will need to be fully featured. The Xbox comes with it in the package as standard. But yeah, the DRM and online elements are the root of all Microsoft's problems but we'll see how that pans out. They have been unclear about alot of stuff, as have sony.
But all of that is minor for me; these are conferences to present games and sell the future and Microsoft did a much better job. Microsoft came out all guns blazing: Metal Gear, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Halo, Titanfall, dead rising 3, Spark. Next gen products for a next gen system. Sony had final fantasy, a few tech demos and some cross generation games. There was really no contest in my opinion.
Sony will undoubtedly have every major release on their system in the future, but in the context of an isolated conference, Microsoft had the better showing in my opinion (and I couldn't care less for most of what they showed).
