Have played around half of a season but more or less went vanilla to see how the game played and how arsenal held up. Tinkered with the formation but did nothing in regards to training, transfers etc. Am sitting third in the league; won most of the early games but have drawn or lost the last six.

I suppose that you would call it a 4-2-3-1.

One box to box midfielder, one ballwinning midfielder, both widemen as inside forwards, complete forward at point and advanced playmaker just in behind. Gibbs is a wingback and sagna is a fullback. Defensive line almost as high as it goes, width and tempo just about the 3/4 mark to the right. Mixed passing. Front four all have a decent amount of creative freedom, back six set right in the middle barring the centre halves who have no creative freedom at all.

On FM now so would throw in a few more gem names. Only those real unknowns so no Pastore Hazard Sissoko etc.

Leonel Galeano, Zezinho, Sarabia, Pacheco, Son Heung-Min, Ben Khalifa, Babacar, Yaya Sanogo.

The last 3 strikers are going to absolute quality soon if you play them enough

I won the league in my first season with Arsenal. I signed Hazard in the summer and Adler in January. Second season the realism kicks in, I have a massive amount of injuries and things aren't going so well.

Babacar is a real animal. Wellington Silva will also turn out to be useful I think and he's already there. Jack Rodwell is a good investment because he can play multiple positions and becomes much better than Song very quickly. Surprisingly there are not many CB's who are a lot better than Kos and Vermaelen. I conceded something like 18 goals with those two at the back in my first season.

Trying to play the game without reading up about who 'gets good' and who doesn't. Not too keen on signing random players I know nothing about in real life. Trying to keep it realistic, I guess.

I started off with Bayern, only 14 league games into it and i'm a point behind Dortmund. Finding it tricky, lost 3-0 at home to Real and i've already lost 3 league games. Conceding quite a few goals which is disappointing but i think my formation/tactics aren't quite right yet. Playing 4-2-3-1 mostly. The 2 are CM's (box to box and DLP) but i'm tempted to move them to DM or maybe switch formation to a normal 4-3-3. Anyone who's doing well - what system are you using?

Olic and Badstuber have been really good for me and as Clrnc says Alaba is a very promising young midfielder.

Anyone played the new Assasins Creed? Absolutely loved the last one, but can't decide whether or not to buy myself that or Black Ops for a bit of weekend fun...

I've played it for about ten hours and so far it's really, really good. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you liked the previous ones.

Picked up Deadly Premonition the other week and love it to bits, by the way. What a great game! If Twin Peaks had been a video game it would've looked like this.

I loved Assassin's creed 1 and 2. I can't wait to try the new one but i've been really busy

Apparently the multiplayer modes are fun

Been loving Assassins Creed Brotherhood so far - not much of a progression from the previous game, but that was always going to be the case, and to be honest, more of the same is hardly a bad thing.

I still have Assassins Creed II on loan from a friend, really should finish it soon but damn that game is long.

I take it that Brotherhood follows the same pattern of having a choice of assassination contracts, the story itself, races etc. ?

More or less, I think - I've only played it for about an hour or so, and the main 'theme' of the game hasn't really got going yet. What I will say, though, is that you really have to finish 2 before beginning brotherhood - the story won't make a lot of sense otherwise, and you'll be missing out on a lot.

Does anyone have any clue about players "worrying about a lack of discipline"? I've just had both Rosicky and Van Persie come to me with this concern, and now i have no relationship at all with Van Persie after him refusing to back down. It's an odd one. I'm into January, lost one game all season, into the Carling Cup final, Champions League knockout, 2nd in the league a point behind City, morale is sky rocket...and then i get that. No reds in previous games, no reports of players not turning up to training.

Just wondering if anyone can think of something i haven't?

It happens to me all of the time, I usually just ignore them and it goes away after a few weeks.

Genuinely have no idea what the cause is.

Usually happens if you don't warn a player after a couple of reds. But if you didn't get any cards it must be a bug.
