So, had Witcher 3 sitting here now for a couple of days. Was pumped playing it when I bought it a few days ago, but for whatever reason I just didn't get to start playing. About 5 minutes ago, the time was right for me - gonna play the heeeell out of this mofo! Pop the disc in my PS4, eager to go, just to be met by a screen which says there is an almost TWENTY GIGABYTE update that needs to be installed. What the fuck is that?! That shit will take half an hour to get done ffs!

Welcome to 2016 Rex. Soon as I buy a new game I throw it in the machine and let it update even if I'm not about to play it. Its a fucking pain when you settle in to play a new game and have to download a big update.

It makes digitally purchasing games more appealing but they have their own problems, like taking up even more drive space and on PS4 they can lock you out of the game if your internet is down.

Great way for game makers to rush a shitty release and then 'update' it 10x times in the next 6 months.

Last two games I bought were FIFA and Fallout 4. I don't remember this shit! Then again, I bought those pretty much the same day they were released.

I got Fallout 4 on a digital pre-order. It downloaded itself immediately on release while I was asleep and it was there ready to go when I got up the next day. What a time to be alive.

I digitally buy all my games now. It's a little more expensive but just so much easier to manage, not have to worry about putting in CDs etc especially with kids around. Bought an external 1TB HD and hooked it up so storage isn't a problem.

Can you hook an external drive up to the PS4? I'd definitely go for that if I could. I love the convenience of digital distribution. Its amazing how quickly getting up to change a disc feels like old hat.

Feel the movement of Geralt, not to mention when riding, is more than a little bit clumsy and imprecise. This something I have to get used to, or something I can change? Other than that, there is a lot of Skyrim in this game; I loved Skyrim, so that's not a bad thing.

Mirth, my daughter showed me that last weekend. Only watched her and my little one play it, but I can definitely see what you mean.
For me, on my phone, it's Tetris and Flowfree which has me hooked.

If you mean while fighting, make sure you learn how to dodge (I think it's circle?). Makes the game a whole lot fun.

The horse is a dick but you get used to it after you enter a few races. Most games don't do horses well aside from Red Dead Redemption.

Also when just moving around I feel. Probably just that I haven't got used to the controls, but he turns clumsily, he doesn't stop when I anticipate him to, and I find it clumsy to navigate him through twists and turns.

He's not too bad. I find the ledge and slope stuff a pain in the neck, and it also irritates me that he can't climb things he clearly should be able to. As third person games go, it certainly doesn't seem as smooth as either the AC series or Naughty Dog stuff, but the environments also seem more innovative and less regular.
