Its a series renowned for its cut scenes, just because there was a little less than some other instalments doesn't mean they are not there. I really don't enjoy having to watch hours and hours of cut scenes when I'm gaming.
I've played for about fifteen hours and I can't imagine cutscenes make more than fifteen minutes of that time. A long cutscene in the beginning, no cutscenes during the side quests and short cutscenes after some - but almost none - of the story missions. I've read that there's 4 hours of cutscenes across 79 hours of gameplay (side and story missions). That's drastically less than earlier MGS games, which had up to 30-40% cutscenes out of total hours spent with the game. Four hours is still a lot, but when you factor in how long the game is.. Let's not exaggerate.

Speaking of Witcher 3, I must be unbelievably shit at it becasue everytime I need to fight something on the tricker side I can't get past it without needing 1000 attempts.
It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take an age to load, and having to go through the same 5 mins of gameplay over and over again just so you can get to the part you're struggling with.
Are the load time as bad on the PS4? It's ridiculous on this game.
I can't say for sure, but I don't remember being annoyed with long load time on PS4. Also, I also died all the time in the beginning. Not sure if I got better gear or if I got better at the game, but it gets much easier. I think it's a combination of getting used to the gameplay and being underpowered (armor and sword) early on. As Gurgen, I too almost always used the Quen sign.
