The new GoW looks great. A better story and proper third person view was something this series needed to move forward. And as they said, there'll be plenty of spectacle, but everyone knows that, so they wanted to show something people didn't know was coming.
Also interesting is that the whole game will play like one long take. No cuts or loading screens.
The one take thing doesn't sound like it goes well with a stronger narrative. Sounds like a lot of walking beside characters delivering exposition.

@qs Haven't seen it in any games I can think of, to be honest. As long as the game is about a journey (which it seems like from the trailer) and they just make sure there isn't any part of said journey that should be cut, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Seems like the sort of game I don't understand. Trailer looks beautiful, like a choreographed dance, but has absolutely nothing that makes me want to play it. Just not for me I guess.

ive played nothing but nba 2k16 for the last 4 months. fifa 16 was a huge letdown. i bought the show 16 and havent even played it yet. im woefully behind on video games

Seriously that Spike Lee shit ruined the whole thing for me.
i dont play myplayer, i do a myleague, start with a fantasy draft, and then normally sim/play between 25 and 30 seasons.
for fifa, i only ever played ultimate team. they really butchered it this year, imo
FUT is all I play. What do you think they got wrong with it. I've been happy with prices since they killed off the coin traders.
that part was fine. the gameplay started to get really choppy and felt off. i got frustrated with it and just sort of moved on. i think i was in division 2 when i quit. the exploiters are so annoying to play against, and i think one of things i got frustrated with was playing against the same overpowered generic teams all the time.
Not really into basketball and haven't played any of the previous games but I love sports games so with 2K16 being free on PS+ this month I figure I'll give it a go.

NBA Jam is still the last basketball game I played. It was so much fun but my word, after watching the video that BW linked in the Xhaka thread, how bad was the graphics and gameplay back then? Can't believe I ever loved that game.
The audio in NBA Jam is still ringing in my ears after twenty-five years I swear. Used to always pick Olajuwon and spam like a maniac. It was immensely satisfying getting basket after basket when your guy was on fire.
NBA Jam is great game, even the new version that was out on PS3 was pretty fucking great.
