I'll always give the Civ games a shot but I fear it will go the same way as V in that it took three years and two DLC's to turn into a great game. IV to a lesser extent had the same problem. Feels a bit lame to invest time into a game that's not nearly finished.

Meh. Remains to be seen if they're doing anything to improve the main problem you typically get with Civilization - the AI.

Burnsy and qs have you guys started Uncharted yet? I'm not that far through yet but without spoiling it the end of chapter 4 has to be one of the greatest things I've seen in a game.

Reading about Civ VI doesn't exactly fill me with an urge to go out and get it, seems like a few largely cosmetic changes and a few tweaks.

The Last of Us and Uncharted 3 really soured me on Naughty Dog games. I'm 50/50 on Uncharted 4; hopefully I can loan it from someone before committing.

played around 30 minutes of uncharted 4. it's absolutely gorgeous i have to say, probably surpassing TLOU remastered which was the best looking PS4 game i'd seen to date. naughty dog know how to make pretty games

Their previous games railroad you no end and don't have great gameplay variation, but I really enjoy the quasi-cinematic experience.

It did look from the various gameplay trailers for Uncharted 4 as if they'd added a bit more in the way of manoeuvres to the gun-battling, but the AI will be the kicker.

Nope, not at all actually. I heard that it wasn't great so I just continued playing CIV V. I'll definitely pick up CIV VI when it comes out though.

I actually really liked COD back when it was in a historical setting so Battlefield 1 does interest me. So muchs simpler.

yep its all about packaging and presentation with uncharted. the gameplay has always been fairly pedestrian imo
