I do the same. With Fallout 4 I thought the main story wasn't really interesting, while everything else was. I only play game of the year contenders nowadays, plus some indies.

I played Fallout 4 and loved it. I started playing again to try and do the main story where every faction ends up alive and happy but got bored and started playing Battlefield 4 online again. Still my favourite shooter.

Apparently there is something new and big happening in the Battlefield world this month.

I guess it's just a case of differing preferences. For myself, when I realized I didn't have time to play as much as I previously did, I chose to cut back on number of titles. These days I play one or two games per year, and try to really play the hell out of them. I find that gives me more satisfaction than rushing through 4 or 5 games would. I respect that others feel differently.

I'm similar. I buy a few big titles and try to get my moneys worth from them. Then I'll just pick up indies or old games on sale if I feel I need something else.

Bought the new Ratchet and Clank last week but haven't had a chance to get into it yet. Big fan of that series, very fun games.

I loved Ratchet and Clank back on the old PS2. Used to play it with my eldest kid when he was around 8 or so.

Ooh yeah, that looks good. Might get that when the price comes down. Had the PS3 version and it was pretty cool.

Its pretty cheap now. Was £27 on Amazon.

Yeah nah. Not with our Aussie dollar, region codes and all that nonsense. I'll just wait a few months.

Getting hyped up for Uncharted 4 tomorrow. Reviews have been amazing.

Hmm, I didn't preorder, but just reading that post has me a bit enthused. I'll have to pick up a copy and chuck a sickie next week. 🙂

I'm going to pick it up too but I don't really get excited by good reviews for games. I could have told you as soon as it was announced that the critics would cream themselves for this.

Yeah, I'm just not convinced when it comes to ethics in games journalism.

I think its a combination of a lack of ethics and disconnect between the way reviewers play games and the way gamers play games.

I stopped paying attention to game reviews when GTA 4 got 10/10 almost everywhere and it turned out to be a massive disappointment. There's also been some downright horrid games getting decent/good reviews.

Probably didn't need reviews to tell us an Uncharted game was going to be awesome anyway. Should have pulled a sickie today.

Had my first couple of hours of Uncharted 4 last night and great so far. The usual sort of action and problem solving and it's visually stunning.
